Why did you join the RMC GeoCORE team?
After experiencing the field work in Northern Canada during my time in geotechnical consulting I realized my desire to further explore cold regions engineering. I joined the GeoCORE Team at RMC to further develop my knowledge in cold regions engineering and take part in research involving climate change effects on arctic infrastructure and landscapes.
What do you like about the RMC?
The supervisors and support staff at RMC lay the groundwork to allow students to reach their full potential while addressing any barriers that may arise in the process.
What is your research topic?
My research involves using the Light Transmission Method to physically model retrogressive thaw slumps with an aim to determine the driving factors of this geomorphic process.
Any interesting results to share?
No results yet!
What do you like to do for fun outside of school?
During my time away from studies I enjoy spending time outdoors, going on road trips, rock climbing and reading.
