Why did you join the RMC GeoCORE team?

To strengthen my engineering skills as an undergraduate student and expose myself to the research done within civil engineering.

What do you like about the RMC?

The welcoming atmosphere, excellent mentoring, and like mindedly curious people.

What is your research topic?

Use of thermal cameras to examine thermal profiles of soils when thawing.

Any interesting results to share?

In previous research, the material property of emissivity has been found to yield significant errors in infrared temperature sensor readings, which we are now studying practical methods to avoid in experiments.

What do you like to do for fun outside of school?

Study foreign languages, chess, soccer
